leaving home & travelling to Mandurah I noticed a few clouds above & then I noticed a few specks of rain on my visor, thought we are in for a wet ride & not many will be at the meeting point, Mandurah Forum Carpark, wrong.
Arriving at 8.45am 7 had already arrived maybe a good day after all.
By 9am & leaving time we had 11 Bikes &13 riders including Shev on her trusty Can-Am Sports who graciously volunteered her service as back marker.
Ian & Pam led us from the top carpark & onward's to the Southern Estuary Rd. meeting up with Alan & Pam along the way.
Onward at a fairly thrifty pace making our way to Stirling Cottage in Harvey.
The cafe had a few visitors there, including some of the Armadale Branch.
After a coffee & cake, we said fairwell to Shez who had to hurry home & keep an eye or two on Bob after his Knee operation.
Ian led us through scenic roads to our destination at The Collie Moto-Plex only to find they had just stopped the racing for a lunch break, must be all Ulysseans.
Some didn't want to wait around so promptly departed for The Federal Hotel.
During the break we had a wander round the track & Pit area, Lyall about to climb the hill when he realised everyone had come down for a cuppa at the food counter.
Walking by a trailer with Brian & noticed two Ducati's, one of them had been in a spill earlier in the day, lucky Mike didn't get to see them, he would have been really upset. Over near the fence & a tap on the shoulder, not the law but Steve who had come for a day out from Busselton ( wonder if May knows ).
Just about to leave & as a race came to a close, second finisher tryed to do a stoppy a little too sharply & ended in the dirt, the ambulance appeared but after the rider had a few minutes rest he gingerly rose to his feet & seemed okay.
So, the day finished at the track & we made our way under the tunnel & back to Collie for a well deserved bite to eat & a drink were the early leavers were waiting for us.
After a snack & a drink we left for home, you will have to ask Danny about the blue lights ( thats another story ).
Refreshments in Waroona & the last leg home.
Love your new hat Yvonne.
